- हेलेन विटाकर (बीबीसी थ्री)
जासूसी ड्रामा आमतौर पर ऐसे होते हैं जिसे देखने पर इंसान अंदर तक हिल जाता है। अगर इसे लिखने वाली फ़ोबे वालर-ब्रिज हों तो इसमें भी डार्क कॉमेडी का तड़का मिल जाता है। यही कारण है कि फ़ोबे का नया ड्रामा 'किलिंग ईव' ख़ुद में एक जासूसी कहानी और सिटकॉम (सिचुएशनल कॉमेडी) को समेटे हुए है।
जासूसी कहानियों में किसी महिला का ख़ूनी होना हमेशा ही आकर्षित करता है। इसका सबसे बड़ा कारण है कि महिलाओं का इस तरह के किरदार में कम देखा जाना और जो सामान्य नहीं होता वो हमेशा आकर्षित करता है। ये तो हो गई काल्पनिक कहानियों की बात, लेकिन ऐसी ही कुछ महिलाओं की कहानी जो अपनी असल ज़िंदगी में एक ख़तरनाक जासूस रहीं और उनका जीवन हैरान करने वाली कहानियों से भरा रहा।
1. डबल एजेंट 'माता हारी'
मार्गेथा गीरत्रुइदा मैकलियोड जिसे 'माता हारी' के नाम से जाना जाता है। माता हारी एक कामुक नृत्यांगना थीं, जिसे प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में जासूसी करने के आरोप में गोली मार दी गई। माता हारी की ज़िंदगी पर साल 1931 में हॉलीवुड फ़िल्म बनी जिसमें ग्रेटा गर्बो मुख्य भूमिका में थीं।
मार्गेथा का जन्म हॉलैंड में हुआ था और शादी एक फ़ौजी कैप्टन से। एक बुरे रिश्ते में फंसी मार्गेथा ने अपने नवजात बच्चे को भी खो दिया। साल 1905 मार्गेथा ने खुद को 'माता हारी' की पहचान दी और इटली के मिलान स्थित ला स्काला और पेरिस के ओपेरा में एक कामुक नृत्यांगना बनकर उभरीं।
अब मार्गेथा खो चुकी थीं और दुनिया में जो थी उसे लोग माता हारी के नाम से जानते थे। अपने पेशे के कारण उनके लिए सफ़र करना आसान था। इस कारण जर्मनी ने प्रथम विश्व युद्ध के दौरान माता हारी को पैसे के बदले जानकारियां साझा करने का प्रस्ताव दिया और इस तरह वह जर्मनी की जासूस बनीं।
माता हारी ने ख़ुद तो किसी को नहीं मारा, लेकिन उनकी जासूसी ने लगभग 50 हज़ार फ्रांसिसी सैनिकों को मौत के घाट उतारा। इसके बाद फ़्रांस को उन पर शक़ होने लगा। फरवरी 1917 में उन्हें पेरिस से गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और अक्टूबर में उन्हें गोली मार दी गई। उनकी मौत के 100 साल बाद उनके अपराध पर बहस फिर शुरू हो गई। माता हरि को आज भी 'फेमिनिन सिडक्शन' और देश को धोखा देने वाले प्रतीक के रूप में देखा जाता है।
2. शॉर्लेट कॉर्डी
शॉर्लेट का पूरा नाम मैरी एन शार्लेट डी कॉर्डी था और वह फ़्रांस की क्रांति का हिस्सा रहीं। शॉर्लेट एक गिरोडिन थीं। फ़्रांस की क्रांति में गिरोडिन वो हुए जो राजशाही तो ख़त्म करना चाहते हैं, लेकिन हिंसा के ख़िलाफ़ थे। लेकिन क्रांति के लिए हिंसा को ना अपनाने वाली शॉर्लेट ने अपने विपक्षी जैकोबिन समूह के नेता जीन पॉल मैराट की हत्या की।
जुलाई साल 1793 शार्लेट ने मैराट को उस वक्त चाकू मारा जब वो बाथटब में नहा रहे थे। जब उन्हें इस हत्या के जुर्म में गिरफ्तार किया गया तो शॉर्लेट ने इसे देश हित में की गई हत्या कहा। उन्होंने दावा किया कि इस एक हत्या से उन्होंने सैकड़ों-हज़ारों की जान बचाई है। लेकिन इसके चार दिन बाद ही उन्हें सज़ा मिली।
3. शी जिआनकिआओ
जासूस अपना उपनाम रखना पसंद करते हैं और इसी तथ्य को यथार्थ में बदलते हुए शी गुलान ने जासूसी की दुनिया में ख़ुद का नाम शी जिआनकिआओ रखा। जिआनकिआओ अपने पिता की मौत का बदला लेने के लिए जासूस बनीं। इनकी हत्या चीन के नेता सुन चुआंगफांग ने 1925 में की थी।
10 साल बाद जिआनकिआओ ने चुआंगफांग के सिर में तब गोली मारी जब वह एक बौद्ध मंदिर में पूजा कर रहे थे। इस हत्या को अंजाम देने के बाद घटनास्थल से भागने के बजाय वह वहीं रुकी रही और अपना गुनाह कबूल किया। इस हाई प्रोफाइल केस में 1936 में फ़ैसला आया और जिआनकिआओ को बरी कर दिया गया। इस केस में कोर्ट का कहना था कि ये हत्या अपने पिता की हत्या से आहत होकर की गई है। साल 1979 में शी जिआनकिआओ की मौत हुई।

4. ब्रिगित मोअनहॉप्ट
एक वक़्त में जर्मनी की सबसे खूंखार महिला मानी जाने वाली ब्रिगित मोअनहॉप्ट रेड आर्मी फैक्शन की सदस्य रहीं। ब्रिगित 1977 में जर्मनी में एक आतंकी गतिविधि में शामिल रहीं। 70 के दशक में पश्चिम जर्मनी में एक वाम चरमपंथी समूह द्वारा एक के बाद एक कई हाईजैक, हत्याएं और बम धमाके किए गए। जहाज हाईजैक के साथ लगभग 30 लोगों की हत्या इस समूह ने की। ये अपराध पश्चिम जर्मनी में पूंजीवाद को खत्म करने के नाम पर किए गए।
1982 में इस अपराध में शामिल होने के कारण मोअनहॉप्ट को गिरफ्तार किया गया और पांच साल की सज़ा सुनाई गई। इसके अलावा उन्हें नौ अन्य हत्याओं के मामले में 15 साल की सज़ा दी गई। मोअनहॉप्ट ने कभी अपना जुर्म कबूल नहीं किया और 2007 में उन्हें परोल पर जेल से बाहर आने का मौका मिला। वह आज भी ज़िंदा हैं।
5. एजेंट पेनेलोप
इसरायली इंटेलीजेंस एजेंसी मोसाद के लिए काम करने वाली एजेंट पेनेलोपे फ़लस्तीनी समूह ब्लैक सितंबर के नेता अली हुसैन सलामे की हत्या में शामिल रहीं। अली हुसैन ने साल 1972 में म्यूनिख़ ओलिंपिक के दौरान 11 इसराइली खिलाड़ियों को बंधक बनाया और उनकी हत्या कर दी गई। इस हत्या के जवाब में इसराइली प्रधानमंत्री गोल्डे मेरी के आदेश पर 'ऑपरेशन व्रैथ ऑफ गॉड' शुरू किया गया और इस ऑपरेशन को अंजाम देते हुए अली हुसैन सलामे की हत्या की गई।
अली हुसैन को मारने के लिए पेनेलोपे ने लगभग छह हफ़्ते का वक़्त उस अपार्टमेंट के पास बिताया जहां वह रहा रहते थे। जिस बम धमाके में अली हुसैन सलामे की हत्या हुए उसमें पेनेलोपे भी मारी गईं। मौत के बाद उनके सामान से एक ब्रितानी पासपोर्ट बरामद हुआ जिसमें एरिका चैंबर नाम लिखा था।
