दो माताएं। एक हिंदू और एक मुस्लिम। दोनों जानती हैं कि जिस बच्चे को वो पाल रही हैं, उनके गर्भ का नहीं है। हिंदू मां के पास मुस्लिम बच्चा रेयान है और मुस्लिम मां के पास हिंदू बच्चा जुनैद है। जब उन्हें बच्चों के बदल जाने का पता चला तो दोनों ने सोचा कि अपने ख़ून को घर लाएंगे और जिसे दूध पिलाया है उसे लौटा देंगे। लेकिन ये फ़ैसला इतना आसान नहीं था।
तारीख़ 4 जनवरी 2015
मंगलदई कोर्ट में दोनों परिवार बच्चा बदलने के लिए मिलते हैं। इस अदला-बदली के लिए परिवार तो तैयार था, लेकिन बच्चे नहीं। दोनों बच्चे अपने असल परिवार में जाने से मना कर देते हैं। बच्चों की सिसकियों के चलते दोनों परिवार बच्चों को नहीं बदलने का फ़ैसला करते हैं।
अब 24 जनवरी को दोनों परिवार कोर्ट में हलफ़नामा देंगे कि उन्हें उसी बच्चे के साथ रहने दिया जाए, जिसे उन्होंने पाला है। यानी सलमा परवीन की कोख में पला बेटा अब एक हिंदू परिवार (बोरू जनजाति) का रेयान और शेवाली बोडो की कोख में पलने वाला बच्चा अब सलमा का जुनैद बनकर रहेगा।
कैसे बदले दोनों बच्चे?
कहानी पूरी फ़िल्मी है। इस कहानी में दो परिवार हैं। एक अनिल बोरू का और दूसरा शाहबुद्दीन अहमद का। असम के मंगलदई में एक छोटा सा गांव बेइसपारा है। अनिल बोरू अपने परिवार के साथ यहीं रहते हैं और किसानी करते हैं। 42 साल के अनिल के घर में पत्नी शेवाली बोरू, बेटी चित्रलेखा, मां और तीन भाई हैं। बदलीचर में रहने वाले शाहबुद्दीन पेशे से अध्यापक हैं। शाहबुद्दीन की बेग़म सलमा घर पर ही रहती हैं।

सलमा और शेवाली दोनों को एक ही वक्त पर लेबर रूम में ले जाया गया। सलमा ने सुबह 7 बजकर 10 मिनट पर तीन किलोग्राम के एक लड़के को जन्म दिया। शेवाली ने भी ठीक पांच मिनट बाद यानी 7 बजकर 15 मिनट पर तीन किलोग्राम के ही एक बच्चे को जन्म दिया। दोनों ही डिलीवरी नॉर्मल थीं। दोनों महिलाएं 12 मार्च को अस्पताल से डिस्चार्ज हो जाती हैं।
सलमा कहती हैं- जब मैं बच्चे को लेकर घर जा रही थीं तभी मुझे लगा कि गोद में जो बच्चा है मेरा नहीं है।
*मुझे डर था कि कोई भी मेरी बात पर यक़ीन नहीं करेगा। मुझे तीसरे दिन ही पक्का भरोसा हो गया कि ये बच्चा मेरा नहीं है।
*मैंने एक हफ़्ते बाद अपने पति को कहा कि ये बच्चा मेरा नहीं है। न तो इसका चेहरा हममें से किसी से मिलता है और न ही रंग।
*बच्चे की आंखें बिल्कुल उस बोरू औरत की तरह थीं, जो उस दिन मेरे साथ लेबर रूम में थी।'

डीएनए रिपोर्ट से सच्चाई आई सामने
शाहबुद्दीन बताते हैं, 'सलमा को शुरू से शक़ था लेकिन मुझे कभी ऐसा नहीं लगा। फिर भी सलमा की संतुष्टि के लिए एक सप्ताह बाद अस्पताल अधीक्षक से बात की और अपनी पत्नी के शक़ के बारे में बताया।'
*अधीक्षक ने कहा कि तुम्हारी पत्नी पागल है, उसका इलाज कराओ। मैंने घर आकर सलमा को समझाने की कोशिश की लेकिन वो अपनी बात पर टिकी रही।
*क़रीब दो हफ़्ते बाद मैंने एक आरटीआई डाली और 11 मार्च को जन्मे सारे बच्चों का ब्योरा मांगा। आरटीआई का जवाब आया तो पता चला कि सलमा के साथ लेबर रूम में एक बोरू औरत थी, जिसकी डिलीवरी पांच मिनट बाद हुई थी।
*इसके बाद मैं दो बार बेइसपारा गया लेकिन बच्चे से मुलाक़ात नहीं हो पाई। जैसे ही मैं वहां पहुंचता बच्चे की दादी मोनोमति बोरू बच्चे को लेकर जंगल में भाग जाती।
*इसके बाद मैंने अनिल बोरू को चिट्ठी लिखी और ये बताने की कोशिश की कि अस्पताल की ग़लती से हमारे बच्चे बदल गए हैं लेकिन उन लोगों ने ये मानने से इनकार कर दिया।
*इस बीच अस्पताल प्रशासन को भी चिट्ठी लिखी लेकिन अस्पताल ने यह मानने से इनकार कर दिया कि उनकी तरफ़ से कोई भी ग़लती हुई है।
*मैंने डीएनए टेस्ट कराने का फ़ैसला किया। मैं अपनी पत्नी और जो बच्चा हमारे पास था उसका सैंपल लेकर हैदराबाद गया। अगस्त 2015 में रिपोर्ट आई जिससे पता चला कि ये बच्चा हमारा नहीं है।
*इसके बाद मैंने वो रिपोर्ट अनिल बोरू को भेजी, जिसके बाद उन लोगों को भी यक़ीन हो गया कि बच्चों की अदला-बदली हुई है।
इसके बाद मैंने ये रिपोर्ट अस्पताल को भेजी लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि यह क़ानूनी रूप से मान्य नहीं है। फिर मैंने पुलिस में एक शिकायत दर्ज कराई।
जब बच्चों से मिली पुलिस
नवंबर 2015 में इस मामले में एफ़आईआर दर्ज कराई गई। दिसंबर 2015 में पहली बार पुलिस दोनों बच्चों से मिली। मामले की जांच करने वाले हेमंत बरुआ बताते हैं, 'बच्चों को देखकर अंदाज़ा लगाया जा सकता है कि दोनों बदल गए हैं लेकिन ये किसी षडयंत्र के तहत किया गया हो ऐसा नहीं है। वो मानते हैं कि यह पूरी तरह मानवीय भूल का मामला है। हालांकि नर्स पर 420 के तहत केस फ़ाइल किया गया है।'

*जनवरी 2016 में पुलिस दोनों परिवारों के ब्लड सैंपल लेकर कोलकाता गई लेकिन हस्ताक्षर में ग़लती के कारण टेस्ट नहीं हो सका।
*पिछले साल एक बार फिर ब्लड सैंपल लिए गए और गुवाहाटी लैब में टेस्ट के लिए भेजे गए। जिसका रिजल्ट नवंबर में आया और इस बात की पुष्टि हो गई कि बच्चे बदल गए हैं।
फ़िलहाल उस वक्त की नर्स और सुपरिटेंडेंट दोनों ही का तबादला हो गया है। मौजूदा सुपरिटेंडेंट बच्चों के बदलने को मानवीय भूल मानते हैं। शाहबुद्दीन की ओर से इस मामले की पैरवी करने वाले एडवोकेट जियोर कहते हैं, 'इस मामले में अस्पताल प्रशासन की ही ग़लती है और नर्स को सज़ा मिलनी चाहिए। अब हम चाहते हैं कि सरकार से दोनों परिवारों को आर्थिक सहायता मिले ताकि दोनों बच्चों को बेहतर शिक्षा मिल सके।'
मांओं की चिंताएं
सलमा और शेवाली रहती तो 30 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर हैं लेकिन दोनों की चिंताएं एक सी हैं। शेवाली कहती हैं, जब पहली बार अपनी कोख के जने को देखा तो आंसू थामे नहीं थमे। सलमा का दर्द भी ऐसा ही ही है। सलमा कहती हैं, 'उसकी सूरत बिल्कुल मेरे जैसी है। दिल किया उसको चुराकर लेते जाएं लेकिन वो मेरे पास आया ही नहीं। वो शेवाली को ही अपनी मां मानता है।'
शेवाली कहती हैं, 'जब तक ये मेरी गोद में है, बाहर नहीं निकल रहा है तब तक तो सब ठीक है लेकिन जैसे ही इस गांव से बाहर जाएगा लोग उसे हिंदू-मुस्लिम बताने लगेंगे। मैंने और मेरे घरवालों ने तो उसको कभी मुसलमान नहीं माना। लेकिन दुनिया बहुत ख़राब है। जब वो बड़ा हो जाएगा तो लोग उसे परेशान करेंगे। नहीं मालूम वो हिंदू-मुस्लिम के इस दबाव को कैसे झेलेगा।'
सलमा कहती हैं, 'उसकी आंखें आदिवासियों की तरह हैं। मेरे मायके और ससुराल वाले तो उसे अपना चुके हैं, कोई भेद नहीं करते लेकिन जब वो बड़ा होगा तो सब उसे समझाएंगे कि वो मेरी कोख का नहीं है। आदिवासी है...फिर क्या होगा?'
'बस हिंदू और मुस्लिम न बनें'
अनिल बोरू कहते हैं, 'अब रेयान ही हमारा बेटा है। वो मुझे बाबा और शेवाली को मां कहता है। अनिल उसे इंजीनियर बनाना चाहते हैं।' वहीं शाहबुद्दीन कहते हैं, 'मैं अपने तीनों बच्चों को आईएएस बनाना चाहता हूं। आठ साल की बेटी निदाल, जुनैद और रेयान तीनों को खूब पढ़ाना चाहता हूं।'
शाहबुद्दीन कहते हैं, 'ऊपर वाला सभी बच्चों को एक ही डिज़ाइन में बनाकर भेजता है, जब बच्चे नीचे आते हैं तो हम उन पर हिंदू-मुस्लिम का ठप्पा लगा देते हैं। बच्चों को क्या पता क्या हिंदू क्या मुस्लिम?'
शाहबुद्दीन और अनिल दोनों ही चाहते हैं कि वो कभी-कभी एक-दूसरे के घर जाएं और बच्चों से मिलें। वो चाहते हैं कि उनके बच्चों को सच पता चले लेकिन वो कभी हिंदू-मुस्लिम न बनें।
