श्रावण मास में आने वाली अमावस्या को श्रावणी अमावस्या कहते हैं, इस बार यह 8 अगस्त 2021, रविवार को मनाई जा रही है। इसे हरियाली अमावस्या भी कहते हैं। प्रत्येक अमावस्या की तरह श्रावणी अमावस्या पर भी पितरों की शांति के लिए पिंडदान और दान-धर्म करने का महत्व है।
श्रावण अमावस्या का महत्व-
धार्मिक और प्राकृतिक महत्व की वजह से श्रावण अमावस्या बहुत लोकप्रिय है। दरअसल इस दिन वृक्षों के प्रति अपनी कृतज्ञता प्रकट करने के लिए इसे हरियाली अमावस्या के तौर पर जाना जाता है। वहीं धार्मिक दृष्टिकोण से इस दिन पितरों का पिंडदान और अन्य दान-पुण्य संबंधी कार्य किए जाते हैं।
श्रावण अमावस्या के मुहूर्त-
हरियाली अमावस्या का शुभ मुहूर्त- अमावस्या की तिथि शनिवार, 07 अगस्त 2021 को शाम 7.13 मिनट से शुरू होगी और रविवार, 08 अगस्त को शाम 7.19 मिनट पर इस तिथि का समापन होगा। उसके बाद श्रावण शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा तिथि शुरू हो जाएगी।

श्रावण अमावस्या पूजा विधि-
1. हलहारिणी अमावस्या के दिन सुबह जल्दी उठ कर ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में किसी पवित्र नदी या तीर्थ में स्नान करें।
2. सूर्य उदय होने के समय भगवान सूर्यदेव को जल का अर्घ्य दें।
3. सुबह उठकर पूरे विधि विधान से माता पार्वती एवं भगवान शंकर की पूजा करनी चाहिए तथा सुहागन महिलाओ को सिंदूर सहित माता पार्वती की पूजा करना चाहिए और सुहाग सामग्री बांटना चाहिए।
4. इस दिन पितृ तर्पण करें। अपने पितरों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए व्रत रखें।
5. आटे की गोलियां बनाएं बनाकर किसी तालाब या नदी में मछलियों अथवा अन्य जीव-जंतुओं को खिलाएं।
6. ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराएं तथा दक्षिणा अथवा सीदा दें।
7. श्रावणी अमावस्या का उपवास करें।
8. इस दिन पीपल, बरगद, केला, नींबू अथवा तुलसी का वृक्षारोपण जरूर करें।
9. अपने घर के पास चींटियों को चीनी या सूखा आटा खिलाएं।
10. गरीब या जरूरतमंदों को दान-दक्षिणा दें।
11. श्रावणी अमावस्या के दिन पीपल के वृक्ष की पूजा का विधान है।
12. हरी चूड़िया, सिंदूर, बिंदी बांटने से सुहाग की आयु लंबी होती है और साथ ही घर में खुशहाली आती है।
13. अच्छे भाग्य के उद्देश्य से लड़के भी चूड़ियां, मिठाई आदि सुहागन स्त्रियों को भेंट कर सकते हैं। लेकिन यह कार्य दोपहर से पहले कर लेना चाहिए।
14. हरियाली अमावस्या के दिन पीपल और तुलसी के पेड़ की पूजा करना चाहिए।
15. इस दिन पीपल के वृक्ष की पूजा एवं फेरे किए जाते हैं तथा मालपूए का भोग बनाकर चढाए जाने की परंपरा है।
हरियाली अमावस्या कथा-
कहते हैं कि एक राजा की बहू ने एक दिन मिठाई चोरी करके खा ली और नाम एक चूहे का ले दिया। यह बात जानकर चूहे को क्रोध आया और उसने तय किया कि एक दिन राजा के सामने सच लेकर ही आऊंगा। फिर एक दिन राजा के यहां अतिथि पधारे और राजा के ही अतिथि कक्ष में सोऐ। चूहे ने रानी के वस्त्र ले जाकर अतिथि के पास रख दिए। प्रात:काल उठकर सभी लोग आपस में बात करने लगे की छोटी रानी के कपड़े अतिथि के कमरे में मिले। यह बात जब राजा को पता चली तो उस रानी को घर से निकाल दिया।
रानी प्रतिदिन संध्या को दिया जलाती और ज्वार बोती और पूजा करके गुडधानी का प्रसाद बांटती थीं। फिर एक दिन राजा शिकार करके उधर से निकले तो राजा की नजर रानी पर पड़ी। राजा ने महल में आकर कहा कि आज तो वृक्ष के नीचे चमत्कारी चीज हैं, अपने झाड़ के ऊपर जाकर देखा तो दिये आपस में बात कर रहे थे। आज किसने क्या खाया, और कौन क्या है।
उसमें से एक दिया बोला आपके मेरे जान-पहचान के अलावा कोई नहीं है। आपने तो मेरी पूजा भी नहीं की और भोग भी नहीं लगाया बाकी के सब दिये बोले ऐसी क्या बात हुई तब दिया बोला मैं राजा के घर का हूं उस राजा की एक बहू थी उसने एक बार मिठाई चोरी करके खा ली और चूहे का नाम लें लिया। जब चूहे को क्रोध आया तो रानी के कपड़े अतिथि के कमरे में रख दिये राजा ने रानी को घर से निकाल दिया, वो रोज मेरी पूजा करती थी भोग लगाती थी। उसने रानी को आशीर्वाद दिया और कहा की सुखी रहे। फिर सब लोग झाड़ पर से उतरकर घर आए और कहा की रानी का कोई दोष नहीं था। यह सुनकर राजा ने रानी को घर बुलाया और फिर सभी सुखपूर्वक रहने लगे।
1. सावन और अमावस्या के योग में शिवजी की पूजा-अर्चना करने से अक्षय फल की प्राप्ति होती है। अगर आप भी कोरोना महामारी के चलते मंदिर में शिव पूजन के लिए नहीं जा पा रहे हैं तो घबराएं नहीं घर पर ही पूरी श्रद्धा और विश्वास के साथ भगवान शिवजी का पंचामृत से अभिषेक-पूजन करें।
2. इस दिन चीटियों को चीनी मिला हुआ आटा खिलाना शुभ माना जाता है।
3. इस दिन शिवजी को खीर और मालपूए का भोग लगाने का रिवाज है। इसीलिए घर में खीर, मालपूए बनाकर उसका भोग लगाएं। अगर यह भी न हो सकें तो शिवजी को शकर का प्रसाद अवश्य चढ़ाएं।
4. इस समयावधि में आपके पास घर पर ही जो भी सामग्री हैं उन्हें शिवजी को अर्पित करें। जैसे शकर, पुष्प, फल, जल, कच्चा दूध चढ़ाकर भी आप इस दिन कमा लाभ उठा सकते हैं।
5. इस दिन गेहूं और ज्वार की धानी खाने अथवा खिलाने के साथ झुला झूलने का विशेष महत्व है।
6. हरियाली अमावस्या की शाम को गाय के घी का 1 दीपक लगाएं तथा बत्ती में रुई की जगह लाल रंग के धागे का इस्तेमाल करें। लाल धागे की बत्ती के साथ ही दीये में थोड़ीसी केसर डालें और इसे घर के ईशान कोण में जलाएं।
7. हरियाली अमावस्या के दिन श्रीविष्णु के मंत्र, श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता का पाठ तथा अधिक से अधिक मात्रा में शिव मंत्रों का जाप करें।
