મકર સંક્રાતિ પર શું છે સ્નાન-દાનનું મહત્વ જાણો, જરૂર વાંચો આ પૌરાણિક કથા

ભારતમાં પર્વોના નિર્ધારણ ચંદ્રકલાઓ દ્વ્રારા નિર્ધારિત કાલગણના અને તિથિ ક્ર્માનુસાર કરાય છે. આ જ કારણ છે કે બહુપ્રચલિત ઈસ્વી સનની ગણનામાં તહેવાર આગળ-પાછાળ ઉજવાય છે. હોળી, દિવાળી,દશહરા જન્માષ્ટમી વગેરે બધા એના ઉદાહરણ છે. ભારતીય પર્વોમાં માત્ર મકર સંક્રાતિ જ એક એવું પર્વ છે જેના નિર્ધારણ સૂર્યની ગતિ મુજબ થાય છે. આ કારણે મકર સંક્રાતિ દરેક વર્ષ 14મી જાન્યુઆરીને ઉજવાય છે.

જ્યોતિષીય પ્રમાણે આ દિવસે સૂર્ય ધનુ રાશિથી મકર રાશિમાં પ્રવેશ કરે છે. આમતો દરેક માસે જ સૂર્ય બાર રાશિયોમાં એકથી બીજીમાં પ્રવેશ કરેતો રહે છે. સૂર્યના એક રાશિ થી બીજીમાં પ્રવેશ કરવાના સંક્ર્મણ કે સંક્રાતિ કહેવાય છે. મકર રાશિમાં પ્રવેશ કરવાના કારણે આ પર્વ મકર સંક્રાતિના નામથી ઓળખાય છે. મહાભારતની એક કથા મુજબ મહાભારતમાં યુદ્ધ કરતા પિતામહ ભીષ્મના વચનબદ્ધ હોવાને કારણે કૌરવ પક્ષની તરફથી યુદ્ધ કર્યુ હતું. સત્ય અને ન્યાયની રક્ષાના કારણે તેને પોતે જ પોતાની મૃત્યુનો રહસ્ય અર્જુનને જણાવી દીધું હતું . અર્જુનના શિખંડીની આડમાં ભીષ્મ પર આ કદરે બાણની વર્ષા કરી તેના શરીરના ધનુષ બાણથી ડક્ષબધ ગયું અને તે બાણ શૈય્યા પર લેટી ગયા. પરંતુ તેને પોતાની દૃઢ ઈચ્છા શક્તિ અને પ્રભુ કૃપાના કાર્ને મૃત્યુનો વરણ નહી કર્યું કારણ કે તે સમયે સૂર્ય દક્ષિણાયન હતો. જેમ કે સૂર્ય મકર રાશિમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યું અને સૂર્યઉતરાયણ થઈ ગયું. ભીષ્મે અર્જુનનો બાણ કાઢી ગંગાની ધારનો પાન કરી પ્રાણ ત્યાગી મોક્ષ મેળવ્યું.

મકર સંક્રાતિ પર ખાસ રૂપથી ઉત્તરી ભારતમાં ગંગા સ્નાન કરવાનો ખાસ પુણ્ય મનાય છે. આ દિવસે લાખો લોકો ગંગામાં સ્નાન કરે છે.

આ દિવસે તલનો દાન કરવો શુભ ગણાય છે. ઉત્તરપ્રદેશમાં તલ અને ખિચડી અને અનાજનો દાન કરે છે. તો રાજ્સ્થાનમાં પૂડે તિલ અને બાજરા અને મોટા અનાજના દાનનો સાથે-સાથે પતંગભાજીનો દૃશ્ય મનોરથ હોય છે. પંજાબમાં મકર સંક્રાતિના પર્વને લોહડીના રૂપમાં ઉજવાય છે. મકર સંક્રાતિ ના પૂર્વ સંધ્યા એટલે કે 13 જાન્યુઆરીની રાતે લોહણી સળગાવે છે. આ દિવસે અગ્નિને આવતા વર્ષ આવતી ફસલો પર કૃપા દ્રષ્ટિ જાણવી રાખવા માટે અગ્નિમાં અનાજની આહુતિ આપી જાય છે.
