અમદાવાદમાં શહેરના વિંઝોલ વિસ્તારમાં આવેલી શ્રી પ્રયોસા રેસિડન્સીમાં બે પરિવારના સભ્યોએ સામુહિક આત્મહત્યા કરી લીધી છે. આ ઘટનામાં બે પરિવારના સભ્યોએ સામુહિક આત્મહત્યા કરી લીધી છે. બે ભાઈઓ અને તેમના ચાર બાળકો સહિત 6 લોકોના મૃતદેહ પોલીસને ઘરમાંથી મળી આવ્યા છે. વટવા જીઆઇડીસી પોલીસ ઘટનાસ્થળે પોહચી તપાસ શરૂ કરી છે. બંને ભાઈઓએ બાળકો સાથે શા માટે આત્મહત્યા કરી તે મામલે પોલીસને હજી કોઈ માહિતી મળી નથી.

વટવા જીઆઇડીસી પોલીસ ઘટનાસ્થળે પોહચી તપાસ શરૂ કરી છે. બંને ભાઈઓએ બાળકો સાથે શા માટે આત્મહત્યા કરી તે મામલે પોલીસને હજી કોઈ માહિતી મળી નથી. મૃતકના નામ ગૌરાંગ પટેલ અને અમરીશ પટેલ તેમજ તેમના બાળકોના નામ મયુર, કિર્ત, ધ્રુવ અને સાનવી હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે. બંને ભાઈઓ કાપડની દુકાનમાં નોકરી કરતા હતા. ફરવા લઇ જવાનું કહી બાળકોને લઇ ઘરેથી ભાઈઓ નીકળ્યા હતા અને વિંઝોલમાં ફ્લેટ પર આવી બાળકોની હત્યા કર્યા બાદ બંનેએ આપઘાત કરી લીધો હતો. આપઘાતના કારણ અંગે આર્થિક સંકડામણ અથવા પારિવારિક કારણ હોય શકે છે.

પોલીસને જાણવા મળતી માહિતી પ્રમાણે ગઈકાલથી જ બન્ને ભાઈઓનો પરિવાર ગુમ થયો હતો. વટવા પોલીસે ગુનો નોંધી તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે. પ્રયોસા રેસિડન્સીમાં સાતમા માળે છ મહિના પહેલા બંને ભાઈઓએ એક ફ્લેટ રાખ્યો હતો. પરંતુ ફ્લેટમાં રહેતા ન હતા. એક ભાઈનું ઘર વટવા અને બીજા ભાઈનું ઘર હાથીજણ છે. ઘટના સમયે બંનેની પત્ની ઘરે હતી અને 17મીએ બંને ભાઈ બાળકોને ફરવા લઇ જવાનું કહી અને બાળકોને ભાડાના મકાનમાં લઇ ગયા હતા.

શું કોરોનાકાળમાં આવેલી મંદીના કારણે આ પરિવાર આર્થિક તંગીથી કંટાળીને આત્મહત્યા કરી છે કે કેમ ? આ સામૂહિક આપઘાત છે કે હત્યા વગેરે સવાલોને લઈને વટવા GIDC પોલીસે તપાસ શરૂ કરી છે.
