મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલે આજે ભારે વરસાદથી અસરગ્રસ્ત રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના પ્રભાવિત વિસ્તારોની મુલાકાત લઈને અસરગ્રસ્તો સાથે સંવાદ કરી કુદરતી આપત્તિના આ સમયમાં સરકાર તેમની પડખે છે તેવી હૈયા ધારણા આપી હતી. ત્યાર બાદ તેમણે રાજકોટ કલેકટર કચેરીના સભાખંડમાં જિલ્લાના અધિકારીઓ સાથે બેઠક યોજી પ્રશાસન દ્વારા હાથ ધરાયેલ કામગીરીની સર્વગ્રાહિ સમિક્ષા કરી હતી.
મુખ્યમંત્રીએ ઉપસ્થિત અધિકારીશ્રીઓ પાસેથી જિલ્લામાં થયેલ નૂકશાનીની વિગતો મેળવી અસરગ્રસ્ત વિસ્તારોમાં નૂકશાનીના સર્વેની કામગીરી ઝડપથી પૂર્ણ કરવા તથા હવામાન વિભાગ દ્વારા આગામી બે દિવસ માટે જાહેર કરવામાં આવેલ ‘રેડ’ અને ‘યલો’ એલર્ટના પગલે વહિવટી તંત્રને ‘સ્ટેન્ડ ટુ મોડ’માં રહી પરિસ્થિતિ ઉપર નજર રાખવા તાકીદ કરી હતી.

આ બેઠક બાદ માધ્યમો સાથેના સંવાદમાં મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે કુદરતી આપત્તિના આ સમયમાં અધિકારી - પદાધિકારીઓએ પરસ્પરના સંકલન સાથે કરેલ કાર્ય સરાહનીય છે. આ કપરા સમયમાં જિલ્લાના ગ્રામિણ વિસ્તારોના ૩૩૦૬ લોકોનું સ્થળાંતર કરાવવામાં આવ્યું હતુ, જે પૈકી ૨૭૩૩ જેટલા લોકો પોતાના ઘરે પરત ગયા છે. આ ઉપરાંત ૫૧૭ લોકોનું રેસ્કયુ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.
મુખ્યમંત્રીએ રાજકોટ જિલ્લામાં થઈ રહેલી કામગીરીની વિગતો આપતા કહ્યું કે વરસાદના જે પાણી ભરાઇ ગયા હતા તે હવે ઓસરી ગયા છે. જિલ્લામાંજિલ્લાના ૮૨ જેટલા ગામોમાં વીજ પુરવઠાને અસર થઈ હતી,તેમાંથી હવે માત્ર ૩ ગામો જ પૂર્વવત થવાના બાકી છે. રાજકોટમાં આવતીકાલ સુધીમાં જનજીવન પૂર્વવત થઈ જશે તે રીતે કાર્યવાહી થઈ રહી છે.

મુખ્યમંત્રી ભુપેન્દ્ર પટેલ સાથે ઉપસ્થિત રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના સાંસદો તેમજ ધારાસભ્યોએ રાજકોટ તેમજ પોરબંદર વિસ્તારમાં પ્રશાસન દ્વારા કરવામાં આવેલી કામગીરીને બિરદાવી હતી અને વરસાદ બાદ રોડ-રસ્તા,ખેતર, ઘરો અને જાનમાલની થયેલ નુકસાનીનો વહેલી તકે સર્વે પૂર્ણ કરી અસરગ્રસ્ત લોકોને જરૂરી સુવિધા પુરી પાડવા સૂચન કરાયું હતું.
