પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી 16મી જુલાઇએ ગુજરાતમાં રેલવેના કેટલાંક મહત્વના પ્રોજેક્ટસનું વીડિયો કોન્ફરન્સિંગના માધ્યમથી ઉદ્ઘાટન કરશે અને એ પરિયોજનાઓ દેશને સમર્પિત કરશે. તેઓ આ કાર્યક્રમ દરમ્યાન ગુજરાત સાયનસ સિટીમાં એક્વાટિક્સ એન્ડ રોબોટિક્સ ગૅલરી અને નેચર પાર્કનું પણ ઉદ્ઘાટન કરશે.

રેલવેની પરિયોજનાઓમાં નવા રિડેવલપ કરાયેલા ગાંધીનગર કેપિટલ રેલવે સ્ટેશન, ગેજ રૂપાંતરિત કમ વીજળીકરણ કરાયેલ મહેસાણા-વરેઠા લાઇન અને નવા વીજળીકરણ કરાયેલા સુરેન્દ્રનગર-પિપાવાવ સેક્શનનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
પ્રધાનમંત્રી બે નવી ટ્રેનો- ગાંધીનગર કેપિટલ-વારાણસી સુપર ફાસ્ટ એક્સપ્રેસ અને ગાંધીનગર પાટનગર અને વરેઠા વચ્ચે મેમુ સેવા ટ્રેનોને પણ લીલી ઝંડી બતાવશે.

ગાંધીનગર કેપિટલ રેલવે સ્ટેશનનું રિડેવલપમેન્ટ
રૂ. 71 કરોડના ખર્ચે ગાંધીનગર કેપિટલ રેલવે સ્ટેશનનું અપગ્રેડેશન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ સ્ટેશને વિશ્વ સ્તરની સુવિધાઓ આધુનિક એરપોર્ટની સમકક્ષ પૂરી પાડવામાં આવી છે. ખાસ ટિકિટ બુકિંગ કાઉન્ટર, રેમ્પ, લિફ્ટ્સ, સમર્પિત પાર્કિંગ્ત જગાઓ ઇત્યાદિ પૂરાં પાડીને તેને દિવ્યાંગોને અનુકૂળ સ્ટેશન બનાવવા માટે ખાસ કાળજી લેવામાં આવી છે. સંપૂર્ણ ઇમારત ગ્રીન બિલ્ડિંગની રેટિંગ વિશેષતાઓ સાથે ડિઝાઇન થઈ છે. અત્યાધુનિક બાહ્ય દેખાવ 32 થીમ્સ સાથે દરરોજ થીમ આધારિત લાઇટિંગ પર હશે. સ્ટેશન પર એક ફાઇવ સ્ટાર હોટેલ પણ હશે.

મહેસાણા-વરેઠા ગેજ રૂપાંતર અને વીજળીકરણ કરાયેલ બ્રોડ ગેજ લાઇન (વડનગર સ્ટેશન સહિત)
મહેસાણા- વરેઠા 55 કિમીનું ગેજ રૂપાંતરણ રૂ. 293 કરોડના ખર્ચે, રૂ. 74 કરોડના ખર્ચે વીજાળીકરણના કામ સાથે સંપૂર્ણ થયું છે. એમાં કુલ 10 સ્ટેશનો છે જેમાં ચાર નવા વિક્સાવાયેલા સ્ટેશન બિલ્ડિંગ- વિસનગર, વડનગર, ખેરાલુ અને વરેઠા છે. આ સેક્શન પર મોટું સ્ટેશન વડનગર છે જે વડનગર-મોઢેરા-પાટણ હેરિટેજ સર્કિટ હેઠળ વિક્સાવાયું છે. વડનગર સ્ટેશનની ઇમારતને શિલાઓ કોતરીને સુંદર રીતે ડિઝાઇન કરાયું છે અને આસપાસનો વિસ્તાર લૅન્ડ્સ્કેપિંગ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. વડનગર હવે બ્રોડ ગેજ લાઇન મારફત જોડાશે અને ઉતારુ અને માલગાડીઓ આ સેક્શન પર હવે સરળતાથી દોડી શક્શે.

એક્વાટિક્સ ગૅલરી
અત્યાધુનિક જાહેર એક્વાટિક્સ ગૅલરીમાં સમગ્ર દુનિયાની મુખ્ય શાર્ક્સ ધરાવતી મુખ્ય ટેન્કની સાથે વિશ્વના વિવિધ પ્રદેશોની દરિયાઇ જાતોને સમર્પિત વિવિધ ટેન્ક્સ હશે. તેમાં 28 મીટરનો બેનમૂન વૉક વૅ ટનલ પણ હશે જે અનોખો અનુભવ પૂરો પાડશે.
રોબોટિક્સ ગૅલરી
રોબિટિક્સ ગૅલરી ઇન્ટરેક્ટિવ ગૅલરી છે જે રોબોટિક્સ ટેકનોલોજીના અગ્રણીઓને પ્રદર્શિત કરે છે અને તે મુલાકાતીઓને રોબોટિક્સના સદા આગળ વધતા ક્ષેત્રને ચકાસવાનો મંચ પૂરો પાડશે. પ્રવેશદ્વારે ટ્રાનસફોર્મર રોબોટની વિશાળ પ્રતિકૃતિ છે. ગૅલરીનું અજોડ આકર્ષણ સ્વાગત કરતો હ્યુમેનોઇડ રોબોટ છે જે મુલાકાતીઓ સાથે હર્ષ, આશ્ચર્ય અને ઉત્તેજના જેવી લાગણીઓ વ્યકત કરવાની સાથે વાત કરે છે. વિભિન્ન ક્ષેત્રોના રોબોટ્સ ગૅલેરીના વિવિધ માળે ગોઠવવામાં આવ્યા છે જે દવા, કૃષિ, અવકાશ, સંરક્ષણ અને રોજબરોજની જિંદગીમાં વપરાશના ક્ષેત્રે એપ્લિકેશનો પ્રદર્શિત કરે છે.
નેચર પાર્ક
પાર્કમાં ધુમ્મ્સ બાગ, ચેસ ગાર્ડન, સેલ્ફી પોઇન્ટ્સ, શિલ્પ પાર્ક અને ખુલ્લી ભૂલભૂલામણી (મેઝ) જેવી ઘણી નયનરમ્ય વિશેષતાઓ છે. તેમાં બાળકો માટે ડિઝાઇન કરાયેલ રસપ્રદ ભૂલભૂલામણીનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. પાર્કમાં મૅમથ (પ્રાચીન કાળના કદાવર હાથી), ટેરર બર્ડ, સબેર ટુથ લાયન જેવા નષ્ટ પામેલા પ્રાણીઓના શિલ્પો વૈજ્ઞાનિક માહિતીની સાથે છે.
