કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહ અને સહકારીતા મંત્રી અમિત શાહે ફ્લાયઓવરથી સોલા સાયન્સ સિટી ફ્લાયઓવર સુધીના એલિવેટેડ કોરિડોરનું મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલની ઉપસ્થિતિમાં લોકાર્પણ કર્યું હતું આ અવસરે માર્ગ મકાન મંત્રી પૂર્ણેશ મોદી તેમજ રાજ્યમંત્રી જગદીશ વિશ્વકર્મા,મેયર કિરીટ પરમાર,અમદાવાદ શહેર અને ગાંધીનગરના ધારાસભ્યો,પૂર્વ મંત્રી પ્રદીપસિંહ જાડેજા, સાંસદઓ , સ્ટેન્ડિંગ કમિટી ચેરમેન હિતેશ ભાઈ બારોટ,અમદાવાદ શહેર પ્રમુખ અમિત શાહ,પ્રદેશ મહામંત્રી પ્રદીપસિંહ વાઘેલા અને પદાધિકારીઓ તેમજ અગ્રણીઓ અને માર્ગ મકાન સચિવ તેમજ વિભાગ ના અધિકારીઓ અને નાગરિકો ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા.
રૂ. ૧૭૦ કરોડના ખર્ચે તૈયાર થયેલા 2.36 કિલોમીટર લાંબો આ એલીવેટેડ કોરીડોર કાર્યરત થવાથી અમદાવાદ શહેરના સૌથી વ્યસ્ત રોડ જંકશનોને ટ્રાફિક જામની સમસ્યામાંથી મુક્તિ મળશે . કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી અમિત શાહના સંસદીય મતક્ષેત્રમાં આવતા એસ.જી. હાઇવે પર નિર્મિત આ એલિવેટેડ કોરીડોરથી સોલા ભાગવત, કારગીલ પેટ્રોલ પંપ, જનતા નગર અને ઝાયડસ એમ મહત્વના ચાર રોડ જંકશનને સીધો લાભ થશે.
થલતેજ અન્ડરપાસથી સોલા રેલ્વે પુલ સુધી ૧.૪૮ કી.મી. લાંબો ફ્લાયઓવર તા. ૨૭/૦૬/૨૦૨૧થી કાર્યરત છે, હવે તૈયાર થયેલા ૨.૩૬૦ કિમી લંબાઇના ગોતા ફ્લાયઓવરથી સોલા સાયન્સ સીટી બોક્સ સુધીના એલિવેટેડ કોરીડોરને પરીણામે સળંગ ૪.૧૮ કીમી લંબાઇનો ફ્લાયઓવર કાર્યરત થશે.
આ ફ્લાય ઓવર કાર્યરત થવાથી ગુજરાત હાઇકોર્ટ અને સોલા-સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલ જેવી મહત્વની સંસ્થાઓમાં રાજ્યના અન્ય જિલ્લાઓમાંથી આવતી સામાન્ય જનતાને આ એલિવેટેડ કોરીડોરથી રાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરીમાર્ગ 147 પર સરળ અને ઝડપી પરીવહનની સુવિધા મળશે.

અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, સરખેજ-ગાંધીનગર-ચિલોડા રાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરીમાર્ગ નં-૧૪૭ના ૪૪ કીમી લાંબા રસ્તાની બંને બાજુ સર્વિસ રોડ સાથેના છ-માર્ગીકરણની કામગીરી રૂ. ૯૧૩ કરોડના ખર્ચે પૂર્ણ કરવાનું રાજ્ય સરકારનું આયોજન છે. જે અંતર્ગત નિર્માણ કરવાના થતા 13 ફ્લાયઓવરમાંથી 7 ફ્લાય ઓવર કાર્યરત થઇ ચુક્યા છે અને આઠમાં ફ્લાયઓવરનું આજે લોકાર્પણ થયું છે અને બાકીના 5 ફ્લાય ઓવર નિર્માણાધિન છે.
