મધ્યપ્રદેશમાં કોરોનાના વધતા જતા કેસને કારણે રાજ્ય સરકારે કેટલાક વધુ શહેરોમાં લોકડાઉનની જાહેરાત કરી છે અને કેટલાક શહેરોમાં તેનો સમય 19 એપ્રિલ સુધી વધાર્યો છે. ઇન્દોર, બડવાની, રાજગઢ, વિદિશા, રાઉ, મહુ અને શાઝાપુર અને ઉજ્જૈનમાં તા .19 એપ્રિલ સવારે 6 વાગ્યા સુધી લોકડાઉન લંબાવવાની જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી છે, બીજી બાજુ 12 એપ્રિલથી બાલાઘાટ, નરસિંહપુર, સિવની અને જબલપુરમાં તા. 12 થી 22. સુધી લોકડાઉન રહેશે.

મધ્યપ્રદેશના મુખ્યમંત્રી શિવરાજસિંહ ચૌહાણે કહ્યું છે કે રાજ્યમાં એક્ટિવ કેસની સંખ્યા આ મહિનાના અંત સુધીમાં એક લાખ સુધી પહોંચી શકે છે. ઈન્દોરના સાંસદ શંકર લાલવાણીએ જણાવ્યુ કે 'ઈન્દોરમાં ઓક્સિજનની માંગ 60 ટકા વધી છે. અમે એક કમિટી બનાવી છે જે ઓક્સિજનની ઉપલબ્ધતાનું ઑડિટ કરશે.
શુક્રવારે મધ્ય પ્રદેશમાં કોરોના વાયરસના સંક્રમણના સૌથી વધુ 4,882 કેસ નોંધાયા છે અને આ સાથે રાજ્યમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં વાયરસથી સંક્રમિત કુલ કેસની સંખ્યા વધીને 3,27,220 પર પહોંચી ગઈ છે. રાજ્યમાં રાજ્યમાં 24 કલાકમાં કોરોનને કારણે 23 લોકોનાં મોત થયાં છે. રાજ્યમાં અત્યાર સુધી આ રોગથી મૃત્યુ પામેલા લોકોની સંખ્યા 4,136 પર પહોંચી ગઈ છે.

શુક્રવારે કોવિડ -19 ના 887 નવા કેસ ઇન્દોરમાં આવ્યા હતા, જ્યારે ભોપાલમાં 686 નવા કેસ નોંધાયા છે. અધિકારીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે રાજ્યમાં કુલ 3,27,220 સંક્રમિતોમાંથી 2,92,598 દર્દીઓ સ્વસ્થ થઈને ઘરે પહોચ્યા છે અને 30,486 દર્દીઓ વિવિધ હોસ્પિટલોમાં સારવાર લઈ રહ્યા છે. શુક્રવારે, 2,433 દર્દીઓને સ્વસ્થ થયા પછી હોસ્પિટલમાંથી રજા આપવામાં આવી હતી.
