15મી ઓગસ્ટ વિશેષ - આઝાદી મેળવવામાં મહત્વપુર્ણ ફાળો આપનારા સ્થળો વિશે જાણો

સ્વતંત્રતા પ્રાપ્તિના સંઘર્ષમાં પણ આનુ મહત્વપુર્ણ યોગદાન રહ્યુ

1648માં આ ઈમારતનુ નિર્માણ દિલ્હીમાં પાંચમા મોગલ બાદશાહ શાહજહાંએ કરાવ્યુ

દરેક 15મી ઓગસ્ટની વહેલી સવારે જયારે એક બાજુ સૂર્યનો ઉદય થાય છે તો બીજી બાજુ મુગલકાળના લાલ કિલ્લાના શિખર પર ત્રિરંગો લહેરાતો જોવા મળે છે. સાથે જ ત્યાંથી દેશના પ્રધાનમંત્રી જનતાને સંબોધિત કરે છે. સ્વતંત્રતા દિવસ પર આ ઈમારતનો ઉપયોગ દેશની પ્રગતિને બતાવવા માટે જરૂર કરવામાં આવે છે. પણ સ્વતંત્રતા મેળવવા માટે કરવામાં આવેલ સંઘર્ષમાં તેનુ મુખ્ય યોગદાન છે. 1857ની ક્રાંતિની રણનીતિ અંતિમ મુગલ બાદશાહ બહાદુર શાહ જફર દ્વિતીયના નેતૃત્વમાં અહી બની. પણ અફસોસ કે તે પુર્ણ ન થઈ શકી. દિલ્હીમાં પાંચમા મુગલ બાદશાહ શાહજહાએ વર્ષ 1648માં આ

ઈમારતનુ નિર્માણ કરાવ્યુ અને આ વિસ્તારને શાહજહાંનાબાદ નામ આપ્યુ. લાલ પત્થરોથી બનેલુ હોવાને કારણે આ ઈમારનનુ નામ લાલ કિલ્લા પડ્યુ અને આજે આ ઈમારતને વર્લ્ડ હેરિટેઝ સાઈટમાં સમાવેશ કરવામાં આવી છે. દર વર્ષે લગભગ 25 લાખ લોકો આ ઈમારતને જોવા આવે છે.

કાલા પાની (સેલ્યુલર જેલ) - 1896માં પોર્ટ બ્લેયર સ્થિત સેલ્યુલર જેલનું નિર્માણ થયુ

ફાંસીની સજા પછી મોકલાતા હતા સેલ્યુલર જેલ - ગુલામ ભારતના સમયે કાલા પાની શબ્દ દહેશતનો પર્યાય હતો. આજીવન કારાવાસ કે ફાંસીની સજા મેળવેલ સ્વતંત્રતા સેનાનીયોને અંડમાન નિકોબાર દ્વિપ સ્થિત સેલ્યુલર જેલમાં મોકલવામાં આવતા હતા. તેની શરૂઆત 1857ની સ્વતંત્રતા ક્રાંતિ પછી શરૂ થઈ. જ્યારે પહેલીવાર સ્વતંત્રતા સંગ્રામ સેનાનિયોને આ દ્વિપ પર લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા. જેલમાં 698થી વધુ કાળ કોઠરીઓ હતી. જે આજે પણ બ્રિટિશ રાજની તાનાશાહીની સાક્ષી છે. સ્વતંત્રતા પ્રાપ્તિ પછી આ સજાને સમાપ્ત કરવામાં આવી.

નિર્દોષ લોકો પર ગોળી ચલાવવાનો આદેશ - 1961માં જલિયાવાલા બાગને મેમોરિયલમાં તબદીલ કરવામાં આવ્યો

13 એપ્રિલ 1919ની એક ઘટનાએ ભારતીય સ્વતંત્રતા સંગ્રામની ચિંગારીને જ્વાલામાં ફેરવી નાખી. અમૃતસરમાં લાગેલ કરફ્યુ અને બે નેતાઓની ધરપકડના વિરોધમાં બૈસાખીના દિવસે જલિયાવાલા બાગમાં વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન અને ભાષણનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યુ. તેમા હજારો લોકો જોડાયા હતા. કાર્યક્રમ દરમિયાન બાગના એકમાત્ર દરવાજાને ઘેરીને અંગ્રેજ બ્રિગેડિયર જનરલ રેજીનોલ્ડ ડાયરે નિર્દોષ લોકો પર ગોળી ચલાવવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો. જેમા 1500થી વધુ લોકો શહીદ અને હજારો ઘાયલ થયા. આ બાગમાં આજે પણ હજારો શહીદોની યાદો સમેટાઈ છે.

ચંદ્રશેખર આઝાદ પાર્ક - ઈલાહાબાદ, ખુદને ગોળી મારીને આજીવન આઝાદ રહ્યા

1870માં પ્રિંસ અલ્ફ્રેંડની ભારત યાત્રાના પ્રસંગે આને બનાવવામાં આવ્યો.

બ્રિટિશ રાજ દરમિયાન ભારતમા એવી અનેક વસ્તુઓનુ નિર્માણ થયુ જે કોઈ અંગ્રેજને પ્રસન્ન કરવા માટે બન્યુ. ઈલાહાબાદમાં 133 એકડમાં બનેલ અલ્ફ્રેડ પાર્ક પણ તેમાથી જ એક છે. સ્વતંત્રત સેનાની ચંદ્રશેખર આઝાદ બ્રિટિશ પોલીસ સાથે મુઠભેડ કરતા આ પાર્કમાં ઘુસી ગયા અને ઝાડની આડમાં તેમને ઘણા સમય સુધી બ્રિટિશ પોલીસને ઝાંસો આપ્યો. આ સ્થાન પર ખુદને ગોળી મારીને તેમને આઝીવન આઝાદ રહેવાનુ વચન પુર્ણ કર્યુ. તેમના નામ પર આ પાર્કનુ નામ રાખવામાં આવ્યુ.

સાબરમતી આશ્રમ, અમદાવાદ - આઝાદીની લડાઈનુ મહત્વપુર્ણ કેન્દ્ર

1930માં સાબરમતી આશ્રમથી જ 241 મીલની દાંડી યાત્રાની શરૂઆત કરી.

જુલાઈ 1917મા અમદાવાદમા સાબરમતી નદીના કિનારે મહાત્મા ગાંધીએ સાબરમતી આશ્રમનો પાયો નાખ્યો અને અહીથી તેમના સામુદાયિક જીવન, આદી અને ગ્રામોદ્યોગ જેવા પ્રયોગોની શરૂઆત થઈ. આશ્રમથી દાંડીયાત્રા પર નીકળતી વખતે ગાંધીજીએ સોગંધ લીધા હતા કે પુર્ણ સ્વરાજ્ય લીધા વગર તેઓ આશ્રમ પરત નહી ફરે. દાંડીયાત્રા કરીને મીઠાનો કાયદો તોડ્યા પછી ગાંધીજીની ધરપકડ કરવામાં આવી. જેલમાંથી મુક્ત થયા બાદ 1936માં તેઓ વર્ધાના સેગાંવ ગયા અને 1940માં તેનુ નામ સેવાગ્રામ કરી નાખવામાં આવ્યુ.
