1. છતને ઠંડી રાખો - ઘરની છતને ઘટ્ટ અને ડાર્ક રંગ ન કરાવશો.. કારણ કે તે જલ્દી ગરમ થઈ જાય છે. ઘરને ઠંડુ રાખવા માટે અગાસી પર સફેદ પેંટ કે પીઓપી કરાવો. સ્પેસ એડમિનિસ્ટ્રેશન મુજબ આવુ કરવાથી ઘર 70-80 ટકા સુધી ઠંડુ રહે છે. સફેદ રંગ રિફ્લેટરનુ કામ કરે છે.

2. હળવા રંગની બૈડ શીટ - ગરમીની ઋતુમાં કાય કૉટનની બેડશીટ અને પડદાંનો ઉપયોગ કરો. કૉટન ફૈબ્રિક અને લાઈટ કલરના પડદાં લગાવવાથી ઘરમાં ઠંડક રહે છે.

3. ઈકો ફ્રેંડલી ઘર - જ ઓ તમે નવુ ઘર બનાવડાવી રહ્યા છો તો પહેલ જ ઈકો ફ્રેંડલી કામ કરાવો. ઘરને બનાવવા માટે હંમેશા રેનવોટર હાર્વેસ્ટિંગ, સોલર વોટર હીટિંગ સિસ્ટમ, સીવેઝ ટ્રિટમેંટ પ્લાન જેવી વસ્તુઓ પર ફોકસ કરો. તેનાથી ઘર ગરમીની ઋતુમાં પણ ઠંડુ રહે છે.

4. ગાલીચો ન પાથરશો - ઘરને સ્વચ્છ રાખવા માટે દરેક ગાલીચો પાથરે છે. પણ ગરમીની ઋતુમાં આવુ ન જ કરો તો સારુ છે. ખાલી ફર્શ ઠંડુ પણ રહેશે અને ઉનાળામાં ઉઘાડા પગે ટાઈલ્સ પર ચાલવુ આરોગ્ય માટે પણ સારુ હોય છે.

5. હવાદાર ઘર અને પાણીનો છંટકાવ

મોટાભાગે તમે દિવસના સમયે બારી-દરવાજા બંધ કરી રાખ છો અને સાંજના સમયે પણ તેને ખોલવાને બદલે બંધ જ રહેવા દો છો. તેને બદલે તમે દરવાજા અને બારીઓ સવાર-સાંજ ખોલી દો. આ ઉપરાંત ઘરની છત પર પાણી પણ છાંટો. આ રીત તમારા ઘરને નેચરલ રીતે ઠંડુ રાખશે.

6. છોડ દ્વારા ઠંડક - પોતાના ઘર કે ગાર્ડન કે રૂમની અંદર ઠંડક આપનારા છોડ લગાવો. ઘરના મેન ગેટ અને ઓસરીની આસપાસ છોડને મુકવાથી ગરમીની અસર મોટી હદ સુધી ઓછી કરી શકાય છે. છોડને કારણે ઘરનુ તાપમાન 6-7 ડિગ્રી જેટલુ ઓછુ જ રહે છે. જે ઘરને ઠંડુ રાખવા માટે પુષ્કળ છે.
