Amazing-400 વર્ષ સુધી બરફથી ઢંકાયેલુ હતુ કેદારનાથ મંદિર !! જાણો મંદિરનો ઈતિહાસ
જો વૈજ્ઞાનિકોનુ માનીએ તો કેદારનાથ મંદિઅર 400 વર્ષ સુધી બરફમાં દબાયેલુ હતુ પણ છતા પણ તે સુરક્ષિત બચી ગયુ. 13મી થી 17મી સદી મતલબ 400 વર્ષ સુધી એક નાનકડુ હિમયુગ (Little Ice Age)આવ્યુ હતુ. જેમા હિમાલયનો એક મોટો ભાગ બરફની અંદર દબાય ગયો હતો. વૈજ્ઞાનિકો મુજબ કેદારનાથ મંદિર 4 00 વર્ષ સુધી બરફમાં દબાયેલુ રહ્યુ છતા પણ તેને કશુ ન થયુ, તેથી વૈજ્ઞાનિક આ વાતથી હેરાન નથી કે તાજેતરમાં આવેલ પ્રલયમાં આ મંદિર બચી ગયુ.
બહાર આવેલી હકીકત મુજબ કેદારનાથ મંદિરના પત્થરો પર પીળા રંગની રેખાઓ જોવા મળી છે. દહેરાદુનની આ જીયોલોજી સંસ્થાના વિજ્ઞાનીઓનું માનવું છે કે પીળા રંગની નિશાની વાસ્તવમાં ગ્લેશ્યર એટલે કે મોટી માત્રામાં બરફનો જથ્થો એક સ્થળેથી બીજા સ્થલે ઢસડાઇ ને જાય તેના કારણે બનેલી છે. ગ્લેશ્યર ખસકતું રહે છે. અને જ્યારે તે ખસકે ત્યારે તેની સાથે બરફ ના જથ્થાના વજનની સાથે-સાથે અન્ય જોડાયેલી ચીજવસ્તુઓ પણ લઇને ખસકે છે. એવા સમયે 400 વર્ષ સુધી આ મંદિર બરફના પહાડોની વચ્ચે એટલે કે ગ્લેશ્યરમાં દબાયેલું રહ્યું ત્યારે તે દરમિયાન એણે કેટલા પત્થરોનો બોજ સહન કર્યો હશે ?
આ સંસ્થાના વિજ્ઞાનીઓ એમ પણ કહે છે કે કેદારનાથ મંદિરની અંદરની દિવાલો પર તેના સ્પષ્ટ નિશાન જોવા મળે છે. બહારની બાજુએ પત્થરો પર આ ઘસાયેલી નિશાની અને અંદરની તરફ ના પત્થરો વધારે સમતળ જોવા મળે છે જાણે કે તેમને પોલીશ કરવામાં આવ્યા હોય. વાસ્તવમાં ઇ.સ. 1300 થી લઇને 1900 દરમિયાન આ વિસ્તારમાં એક લઘુહિમયુગનો સમયગાળો હતો. આ ગાળા દરમિયાન કેદારનાથ મંદિર અને આસપાસના તમામ વિસ્તારો બરફની નીચે ઢંકાયેલા હતા. શિયાળા દરમિયાન કેદારનાથ મંદિરની આસપાસ કેટલી વિશાળ માત્ર માં બરફ છવાય જાય છે કે સમગ્ર મંદિરને તે દરમિયાન બંધ રાખવાની ફરજ પડે છે. આ મંદિરોના દરવાજા બંધ કરીને પુજારી વગેરે તળેટીમાં જતા રહે છે અને શિયાળો પુરો થયા બાદ તેના કપાટ એટલે કે દરવાજા ખોલવામાં આવે છે તે દરમિયાન ગ્લેશ્યર એટલે બરફ ઓગળી જાય છે.
મંદિરનું નિર્માણ : કેદારનાથ મંદિર કેટલા વરસ જુનુ છે તેના કોઇ દસ્તાવેજી પુરાવા ઉપલબ્ધ નથી. કોઇ એમ કહે છે કે માળવાના રાજા ભોજ દ્વારા તેનું નિર્માણ કરાયું હતું તો કોઇકહે છે કે આઠમી સદીમાં આદી શંકરાચાર્યો દ્વારા તેનું નિર્માણ થયું હતું.
લાયકોનોમેટ્રિક ડેટીંગ : આ સંસ્થાએ કેદારનાથ મંદિરની આયુ એટલે કે કેટલા વર્ષ જુનુ છે તેની ચકાસણી કરી હતી. જેને લાઇકોનોમેટ્રીક ડેટીંગ કહેવામાં આવે છે. આ પદ્ધતિ હેઠળ પત્થરો અને ગ્લેશ્યર એટલે કે બરફની માત્રાને આધારે કેટલા વર્ષ જુનું છે તેનો અંદાજ લગાવવામાં આવે છે. લાયકોનોમેટ્રિક ડેટીંગ અનુસાર લઘુહિમ યુગ દરમિયાન કેદારનાથ ધામનું નિર્માણ 14મી સદીમાં શરૂ થયું હતું. અને આ ઘાટીમાં ઇ.સ. 1748 સુધી ગ્લેશ્યર બનતા હતા.
મજબૂત છે કેદારનાથની રચના - વાસ્તવમાં કેદારનાથનો સમગ્ર વિસ્તાર ચોરાબરી ગ્લેશ્યરનો એક ભાગ છે.સમગ્ર વિસ્તાર ત્રણ તરફ પહાડોથી ઘેરાયલું છે. એક તરફ 22 હજાર ફુટ ઉંચાઇ પર કેદારનાથ પર્વત છે, બીજી તરફ 21,600 ફુટ ઉંચાઇ ફુટ ખર્ચકુંડ છે. ત્રીજી તરફ 22,700 ફુટ ઉંચાઇ પર ભરતકુંડ પર્વત છે. ત્રણ પર્વતો અને પાંચ નદીઓના સંગમ સ્થાન પર આ મંદિરનું સ્થાન છે. પાંચ નદીઓમાં મંદાકીની, મધુગંગા, ક્ષીરગંગા, સરસ્વતી અને સ્વર્ણદ્વારી નો સમાવેશ થાય છે. કેદારનાથ મંદિરની ઉંચાઇ 85 ફુટ છે. તેની લંબાઇ 187 ફુટ છે. અને તેની પહોળાઇ 80 ફુટ છે. તેની દિવાલો 12 ફુટ જાડાઇની પત્થરોમાંથી બનાવવામાં આવી છે. સમગ્ર મંદિર 6 ફુટ ઉંચા ચબુતરા એટલેકે પ્લેટફોર્મ પર બનાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. એક આશ્ચર્યજનક બાબત એ પણ છે કે આટલા વર્ષો પહેલા આટલા મોટા પત્થરો આટલી ઉંચાઇ પર લાવવા અને તેને કોતરકામ દ્વારા બનાવીને મંદિરનો આકાર આપવો તે પણ એક રહસ્યમય માનવામાં આવે છે. જીજીએન દ્વારા અગાઉ માહિતી આપવામાં આવી હતી કે આ પત્થરોને ઇન્ટરલોકીંગ સીસ્ટમથી એકબીજાની સાથે જોડવામાં આવ્યાં છે તેથી જ આટલા વર્ષોમાં તે નદીઓની વચ્ચે, પહાડોની વચ્ચે સદીઓથી અડીખમ છે.
આગળ શુ ભવિષ્યમાં પણ બચી શકશે કેદારનાથનુ આ મંદિર...
તાજેતરમાં આવેલા પ્રચંડ પુરના પગલે વિજ્ઞાનીઓ એવી ચેતવણી આપે છે કે બર્ફીલા પર્વતો સતત પીગળી રહ્યાં છે. ઉપર પહાડોમાં જળાશયોની માત્રા વધી રહી છે. વાદળો ફાટવાની ઘટના અને ચોમાસા દરમિયાન ભારે વરસાદ વગેરેને લીધે ગાંધી સરોવર તુટી ગયું હતું અને તેમાંથી ધોધ સ્વરૂપે પાણીનો જથ્થો મંદિર તરફ ધસી આવ્યો હતો. આગામી સમયમાં પણ આવુ થઇ શકે છે. જો પર્વતોમાંથી મોટી મોટી શીલાઓ કે ભેખડો ધસી પડીને મંદિર પર પડે તો તેને નુકસાન થઇ શકે છે તેથી તેનું એ પ્રમાણે નિર્માણ થવું જોઇએ કે આવનારા સમયમાં આવી કોઇ કુદરતી આપત્તિમાં પણ ટકી રહે......
