સંજય લીલા ભણસાલીની ફિલ્મ પદ્માવતનો વિવાદ દિવસે-દિવસે આગળ વધી રહ્યો છે. ફિલ્મના વિરોધમાં દેશભરમાં ક્ષત્રિય રાજપૂત સમાજ દ્વારા ઠેર-ઠેર ભારે વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન કરવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. રાજપૂત સમાજ દ્વારા તમામ હિન્દુ સમાજને આ ફિલ્મનો બહિષ્કાર કરવાની અપીલ કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. ત્યારે રાજકોટમાં રાજપૂત સમાજની મહિલાઓ પણ આ મામલે મેદાનમાં ઉતરી આવી છે.

શહેર રાજપૂત સમાજની મહિલાઓ દ્વારા આજે આ મામલે એક પત્રકાર પરિષદ યોજાઈ હતી. જેમાં લોકોને આ ફિલ્મનો બહિષ્કાર કરવાની સાથે વેલણ મુકીને તલવાર લેતા વાર નહી લાગેની ગર્જના પણ કરવામાં આવી હતી. રાજકોટમાં પદ્માવત સઘર્ષ સમિતિના નેજા હેઠળ રાજપૂત સમાજની મહિલાઓ દ્વારા પત્રકાર પરિષદ યોજવામાં આવી હતી. જેમાં સમાજની મહિલાઓ દ્વારા પદ્માવત સઘર્ષ સમિતિને સમર્થન જાહેર કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. તેમજ નારી શક્તિને આગળ આવવાનું આવાહન કરી સંજય લીલા ભણસાલી પર આકરા પ્રહારો કર્યા હતા.તેમજ ફિલ્મમાં અલાઉદીન ખીલજીને હીરો દર્શાવાનો વિરોધ કરી દરેક સમાજની બહેનોને ફિલ્મ પદ્માવત ન જોવાની અપીલ કરી હતી. ઉપરાંત દેશમાં ફિલ્મ પદ્માવત રીલિઝ નહીં કરવા દેવાનું જણાવી વેલણ મુકીને તલવાર લેતા વાર નહી લાગે તેવી ગર્જના પણ રાજપૂત મહિલાઓએ કરી હતી.
