દિગ્ગજ  ફિલ્મ નિર્માતા રોનો મુખર્જીનું 83  વર્ષની વયે અવસાન થયું છે. રોનો મુખર્જીના નિધનથી બોલિવૂડ શોકમાં છે. રોનો હૈવાન (1977) અને તુ હી મેરી ઝિંદગી (1965) જેવી ફિલ્મોના દિગ્દર્શન માટે જાણીતા છે. રોનોએ 28 મેના રોજ 83 વર્ષની વયે મુંબઈમાં અંતિમ શ્વાસ લીધા હતા. તેઓ છેલ્લા કેટલાક મહિનાઓથી વય સંબંધિત સ્વાસ્થ્ય સમસ્યાઓથી પીડાતા હોવાનું કહેવાય છે. બોલિવૂડના સૌથી પ્રખ્યાત ફિલ્મ પરિવારોમાંના એક, મુખર્જી પરિવાર, સ્વર્ગસ્થ દિગ્દર્શકને અંતિમ શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપવા માટે ભેગા થયા હતા. અંતિમ સંસ્કાર દરમિયાન તેમની પુત્રી, અભિનેત્રી શરબાની મુખર્જી, પિતરાઈ ભાઈઓ અને નજીકના પરિવારના સભ્યો સાથે જોવા મળી હતી.

કાજોલ જોવા મળી ન હતી
 
ફિલ્મ પ્રમોશનને કારણે કાજોલ ગેરહાજર હતી, અન્ય લોકો વરસાદ છતાં હાજરી આપી હતી જ્યારે પિતરાઈ ભાઈ તનિષા મુખર્જી અને ફિલ્મ નિર્માતા અયાન મુખર્જી અંતિમ સંસ્કારમાં હાજરી આપવા માટે મુંબઈની વરસાદથી ભીંજાયેલી શેરીઓમાં દોડતા જોવા મળ્યા હતા. કાજોલ તેની આગામી ફિલ્મ માના પ્રમોશનલ પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને કારણે હાજરી આપી શકી ન હતી. જોકે, આ ઉદાસ પ્રસંગે પરિવારના સભ્યો વચ્ચેનો બંધન તેમના શાંત એકતામાંથી સ્પષ્ટ દેખાઈ આવતો હતો. ફિલ્મ નિર્માતા આશુતોષ ગોવારિકર, જે દેબ મુખર્જીની પુત્રી સુનિતા ગોવારિકરના પતિ છે, તેમણે પણ અંતિમ સંસ્કારમાં હાજરી આપી હતી. આનાથી તેઓ અયાન મુખર્જીના સાળા બને છે, જેમણે થોડા મહિના પહેલા માર્ચમાં તેમના પિતા દેબ મુખર્જીને ગુમાવ્યા હતા.
